How Segment Bridge handles personal data, where our audience data comes from, and how to switch it off.
Last updated: 8 October 2026
Segment Bridge is a brand operated by Awaken Art Inc. (“Segment Bridge”, “we”, “us”). Awaken Art Inc. is the company that sells Segment Bridge audience data to advertisers, media agencies, trading desks and advertising platforms. It is responsible for the personal data described in this policy (the “controller” under GDPR and UAE law, and the “business” under US state privacy laws).
This policy explains two things: how we handle the personal data of people who use this website or contact us, and how the audience data we supply is collected, used and can be switched off. Audience data is sourced from an established data partner; we act as a reseller and do not collect it ourselves.
For any privacy question or request, write to privacy@segmentbridge.com.
You can browse this website without telling us who you are. We only receive personal data when you send the request form or email us. That can include:
We use this data to answer your enquiry, prepare samples and proposals and, if you become a client, to manage our work together. We rely on our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries and, where a contract follows, on the need to perform it. We do not sell website visitors’ data and we do not use it to build audience segments.
Our segments describe groups of internet users who share an interest, intent or characteristic (for example, “in-market for a new car” or “luxury travel intenders”). They are built from pseudonymous data, which means the data is linked to an online identifier, not to a name. Depending on the segment, the data may include:
Our data partner collects this information through its own technology and through websites, apps and platforms it works with, which are required to inform users and, where the law requires it, obtain their consent. Statistical models and machine learning are used to group identifiers into segments and to recognise the same user across devices.
What we do not supply: names, postal addresses, phone numbers or other data that directly identifies a person, and no special-category data such as health, religion, political opinions, ethnic origin or sexual orientation. Segments are not built from data about children, and our partner excludes child-directed websites and apps.
Audience data is used so that advertisers can show more relevant advertising and measure it. That means:
Where the law requires consent (for example in the European Union, the UK and some US states), audience data is only used when consent has been collected. Elsewhere it is used on the basis of legitimate interest, with a clear way to opt out.
We share audience segments only with business clients and the platforms they use: advertisers, media agencies, trading desks, demand-side and supply-side platforms and data management platforms. Each recipient must use the data only for advertising and in line with the law.
We also use service providers for hosting, email and IT support, who process data only on our instructions. We may disclose data where the law requires it, for example to a court or public authority, or as part of a sale or reorganisation of our business.
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:
Residents of the European Union and the UK can also complain to their local data protection authority. Residents of the UAE have similar rights under Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data.
To make a request, email privacy@segmentbridge.com. Because audience data is pseudonymous, please include the identifier you want us to look up (for example your mobile advertising ID or the cookie ID shown in your browser), so we can find it. We reply within one month, or within the period your local law sets.
You can stop your data being used for interest-based advertising at any time. Choose the option that matches your device:
Delete cookies or block third-party cookies in your browser settings. You can also use the industry opt-out pages run by the Digital Advertising Alliance and the Network Advertising Initiative. An opt-out applies to the browser and device you use, so repeat it on each one.
On iPhone or iPad, turn off “Allow Apps to Request to Track” in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking. On Android, go to Settings › Google › Ads and delete or reset your advertising ID. A new ID is not linked to the old one.
Most smart TVs and streaming devices have a setting to limit ad tracking or reset the advertising ID, usually under Privacy or Advertising in the device settings.
Email privacy@segmentbridge.com with the subject “Opt-out request” and your advertising ID or cookie ID. We remove it from the segments we supply and ask our data partner to stop processing it.
Opting out does not stop advertising. You will still see ads, but they will not be based on the segments described here.
If you live in California or another US state with a consumer privacy law (such as Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah or Texas), you have the right to:
Awaken Art Inc. sells audience segments to advertisers, which can count as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under these laws. In the last 12 months the categories involved were identifiers, internet or online activity, inferences and approximate location, shared with the types of recipients listed in section 5.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information: use any of the options in section 8, or email privacy@segmentbridge.com with the subject “Do Not Sell or Share”. An authorised agent can make a request for you with your signed permission. We may need to verify a request before acting on it, and you can appeal a decision by replying to our answer.
This website uses only the cookies it needs to work and stay secure. It does not use analytics, advertising or social media cookies. If that changes, we will update this section and ask for your consent first where the law requires it.
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the website from working.
We protect data with access controls, encryption in transit and contracts with everyone who handles it. Data may be processed outside the country where it was collected, including in the United States, the European Union and the UAE. When that happens we use the safeguards the law requires, such as standard contractual clauses.
We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The date at the top always shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we will say so on this page.
