Terms of use

The rules for using this website and our audience data services.

1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of segmentbridge.com and any enquiry you make through it. The website and the Segment Bridge services are operated by Awaken Art Inc. (“Segment Bridge”, “we”, “us”). By using the website you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the website.

2. Definitions

  • Website: segmentbridge.com and its pages.
  • Services: the supply of ready-made and custom audience segments, data samples and related support.
  • Seller: Awaken Art Inc., the company that sells the Services under the Segment Bridge brand.
  • Client: a business that has signed an agreement with Awaken Art Inc. for the Services.
  • Segment: a group of pseudonymous online identifiers that share an interest, intent or characteristic.
  • User: an internet user whose pseudonymous data may form part of a segment.

3. Using this website

The website is meant for business users: advertisers, agencies, trading desks and advertising platforms. You may use it to learn about our Services and to contact us. You must not:

  • use it in a way that breaks the law or the rights of others;
  • try to gain unauthorised access to it, interfere with how it works or introduce malicious code;
  • copy, scrape or reuse its content for commercial purposes without our written permission;
  • send false information or someone else’s details through the request form.

We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the website at any time.

4. Data services and contracts

Information on the website, including segment names, categories, markets and examples, describes what we typically offer. It is not an offer that can be accepted. Awaken Art Inc. is the seller of all Segment Bridge data and Services. Access to segments, samples and pricing is only provided under a separate written agreement or insertion order signed with Awaken Art Inc., which also issues all invoices. If that agreement conflicts with these terms, the agreement wins.

Data samples are provided for evaluation only. They may not be used for live campaigns, resold or combined with other data without our written consent.

5. How audience data works

Segments are built from pseudonymous data such as cookie IDs, mobile advertising IDs and connected TV IDs, together with information about online activity and interests. The data is sourced from our data partner and from websites, apps and platforms that work with it. Data is split into attributes (for example, an estimated age range) and events (for example, a visit to a car review page), and statistical models are used to group identifiers into segments.

Segments do not contain names, contact details or special-category data. Segment sizes and reach figures are estimates and can change over time.

6. Client responsibilities

Clients and the platforms they use must:

  • use segments only for advertising, measurement and analytics, as agreed in their contract;
  • comply with all privacy and advertising laws that apply to them, including GDPR, CCPA and other US state laws and the UAE Personal Data Protection Law;
  • not try to re-identify any User or combine segments with data that directly identifies people;
  • not use segments to make decisions about eligibility for credit, employment, insurance, housing or healthcare;
  • respect User opt-outs and delete data when a contract ends.

7. Privacy and opt-out

How we handle personal data, and how anyone can opt out of audience data, is explained in our privacy policy. You can opt out at any time using the options on the opt-out section of that page.

8. Intellectual property

The website, the Segment Bridge name and logo, the segment taxonomy and all content on the website belong to Awaken Art Inc. or its licensors. Using the website does not give you any right to them, except to view the pages for their intended purpose.

9. Disclaimers and liability

The website is provided “as is”. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we do not guarantee that it is complete, error-free or always online. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue or data, arising from your use of the website. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Liability for the Services is set out in the Client’s agreement.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version, and continuing to use the website means you accept it.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws that apply where Awaken Art Inc. is registered, unless a Client’s agreement says otherwise. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of that place.
